Grand Times.

Hi there Sweetpeas!

Following on from my last blog post, I have another completed layout to share that was created with the 'Grand Times' collection that featured in the Q4 Secret Box from Creative Memories.

One of my go-to layout designs are grids. I love rows of photos whether I keep a square format or off-set options. You can't go wrong with a grid design if you have lots of photos you want to document on one page.

A sheet of green polka dot designer paper was trimmed to measure 11.5" x 11.5" before being adhered centred to a brown sheet of the tone-on-tone paper. (You could 'gut' or remove the centre of the base piece if you wish to save your paper supply.)

Next I trimmed a darker green sheet of tone-on-tone paper to measure 9" x 9". This was adhered centred on the page. Following this I trimmed a beige sheet of tone-on-tone paper to measure 8" x 8". This square was placed centred on the page as well.

The four corner flourish stickers from the 'Grand Time' sticker sheet were perfect for placing around the darker green square.

At this point I started to cut some of the HOT FUDGE cardstock for photo mats. I cut three to measure 3.25" x 3.25" and two to measure 3.5" x 5". These were adhered in the pattern you see. (TIP: A ruler will help you centre the middle photo mat. Once it is in place you will find the remaining, easy to sit neatly positioned on the layout.)

I decided to have the centre square as an embellishment feature.(You can have this as an extra photo.) I cut a square of check designer paper to measure 3" x 3" and adhered centred over the HOT FUDGE centre square. A quote sticker was added to it with foam squares, but I used a little brown ink on the edge of it first to highlight it.

The photo sizes for the remaining photo mats are: two - 3.25" x 4.75" and two - 3" x 3".

I adhered some of the embellishments to the layout but felt it still needed a little something extra. I chose a Dr Seuss quote to add. This was typed in a word document and printed onto photo safe paper before being trimmed and added to the page.

I hope you have enjoyed seeing how my layout turned out today and perhaps you give this style a try for yourselves.

Until next time, happy scrapping.

Kylie
