Happy Birth-Yay | Birthday Jubilee

I've been on a creative roll lately, having some fun with the new Birthday Jubilee collection from Creative Memories. As the name suggests this is a fun 'Birthday' themed collection that I absolutely love! You all know how I love to go big with embellishments and titles....Well this collection certainly delivers. Thanks to the layered borders and size to the embellishments, I found it very easy to bring together some awesome layouts very quickly. Here's a little look at my latest page-

If you're going to scrap along, you will need some supplies. I highly recommend the Birthday Jubilee decorative bundle. This gives you everything you need to create a load of awesome pages. You can also purchase items individually, however the embellishment pack is now only available in the decorative bundle.

You will also need:

• One sheet of Blue cardstock

• Scissors

• Precision Point Glue Pen

• Adhesive tape

• Foam squares

• 12-inch trimmer

  
  

  

  First I removed the centre of my Blue cardstock (to conserve supply). Next I trimmed a sheet of designer paper to 11.5" x 11.5" and adhered it over the blue frame.

  I trimmed 3 different sheets of designer paper to measure 11.5" x 1.75" and fringed cut all the way along each of them. They were adhered at the base of the page, overlapping each other. I then added a layered border to the top of them, as well as another to the top of the layout.

  
  

  

  I allowed for two photos on this layout. I cut the off-cut square of blue cardstock into two photo mats measuring 4.25" x 4.25" and 4.25" x 6.25". My photos were adhered to the mats before being stuck into place on the layout.

  
  

  

  I used my mini stapler to add some baker's twine to my large balloon. I looped the length of it for a fun effect and was able to hold this in place by using a small amount of glue from my Precision Adhesive Pen. To complete my layout I also added some journal strips to my balloon.
